No. Health monitoring is an additional layer of awareness for correctional and medical staff — not a replacement for required observations, medical personnel, clinical judgment, or established facility protocols.
How does the staff safety button work?
Staff can activate a safety button on their assigned device (ID badge, key fob, or wearable). PRESENCE then alerts designated personnel and identifies the staff member’s location so help can be directed to the right area.
What happens if an inmate's wearable band is removed or cut?
PRESENCE generates an immediate tamper alert.
